Unmet Medical Needs and Future Perspectives for Leiomyosarcoma Patients—A Position Paper from the National LeioMyoSarcoma Foundation (NLMSF) and Sarcoma Patients EuroNet (SPAEN)

As leiomyosarcoma patients are challenged by the development of metastatic disease, effective systemic therapies cornerstone outcome. However, overall activity currently available conventional treatments and prognosis with advanced or disease still poor, making treatment this patient group challenging. Therefore, in a joint effort together networks organizations, namely Sarcoma Patients EuroNet (SPAEN), international network sarcoma National LeioMyoSarcoma Foundation (NLMSF) United States, we aim to summarize state-of-the-art for order identify knowledge gaps current unmet needs, thereby guiding community design innovative clinical trials basic research close these gaps. This position paper arose from meeting October 2020 hosted NLMSF SPAEN.
